Droplet is a social media app designed to be less addictive than "traditional" ones like instagram, facebook etc. It is inspired by BeReal, with a "one post per day" concept. Every day, a member of each "bubble" (think group chat) is selected to give a prompt to the rest of the group, for example "what's a song you love at the moment", and every other member can respond. There are no streaks, in-app purchases, ads, or anything else to pollute the experience

As a long-time resident of Toronto, I’ve noticed an increasing amount of litter in my neighborhood. This issue not only affects the cleanliness of my city but also has serious environmental consequences. What’s even more troubling is that much of this litter is caused by people in my generation, as research shows that individuals under 30 are more likely to litter than those who are older. My app, GoTO (Go Toronto) was created to encourage young people to take action and clean up litter by offering digital rewards, which come in the form of cute animal avatars, making the experience more fun and engaging. The app allows users to track their impact in real-time, with a map that shows locations where litter has been picked up and a calendar that tracks the amount of litter collected over time. GoTO empowers youth to see the positive difference they’re making, one piece of litter at a time.

My Alias Word Game helps to entertain people in whatever situation they are in. For instance, when me and my sister have nothing to do while on a roadtrip, we can pull out the phone, and launch the app, which gives us something to do. Importantly this "something to do" is not a plain time wasting task, like other activities on a roadtrip might be -- counting birds, sleeping, or arguing. Instead, this app allows us to have both a fun AND a brain-involving time, by allowing us to not only laugh and giggle at each others inability to describe a word, but also by allowing us to expand our vocabularies, which is important in the age where we tend to consume more and more videos, and read less and less books. This is how my app helps me already, and can help many others in this world in the future!

PixFocus is a pixel art designed app to boost productivity with Pomodoro and Timeblock timers. It combines the fun of pixel art with powerful time management tools like Pomodoro and Timeblock timers to help students focus and stay on track. The app also tracks user data, providing displays into optimal focus sessions and displaying statistics on past sessions. *NOTES on Github repo: The development has been over 2 months previously known as AuraHub which were built as a centralised app for productivity that contains variety of features. After careful consideration I decided to scoped down the project and only focus on the MVP, since the Timer features were almost complete I decided to create a sub branch and remove all other irrelevant feature. The default branch is now known as "mvp"

It solves a problem where we want to take care of the environment through tracking our carbon emissions so that we can take care of our surrounding environment better. This was mainly brought about through going in cities like Delhi but realising how beautiful they could be just by being at night (where the pollution massively decreases)

Arcade Stats was written by me to have a fast and lightweight way to keep track of my arcade history! With just a phone, anyone is able to keep track of what sessions they did, and show off their log/stats to others in person! There's also a native view for the shop, which works brilliantly for native rendering instead of opening in a web browser.

In the VEX Robotics Competition (V5RC), after a "qualification" period, teams must form alliances. This app enables simple and easy communication between teams at an event, where teams can request the formation of an "alliance" (partnership), and receive a response, so that a team that is picking a partner knows which teams would like to pair with them, while also having useful information about the teams at the event, overall simplifying the alliance selection process. React native is used as the frontend framework, with requests made to the RobotEvents API for VEX team and competition data, and Firebase is used as a backend for authentication, and with Firestore as a database storing requests and user team data.

So our app is targeted at a mixture of audiences. Our first aim for this app is to make it usable at our school open house https://www.bukitbatoksec.moe.edu.sg/announcements/news/openhouse23/ I'm not sure how open houses work elsewhere but here's a basic flow of how it works in BBSS 1) visitors register and get goodies 2) a tour guide (one of the nearly 200 student volunteers) takes them around the school showing them around the facilities and take them to cca trial areas 3) they do a survey to rate bbss and then leave the school So we plan to use the app as a way for our students to boost their knowledge of the school as for example if someone asks a question about some part such as our air rifle club that they don't know much about they could refer to the app to help with information and pictures Then the second aim would be just for it as a passive app that people can download year long to view bbss's facilities from home with our pictures of our school

So as you might know drowning is a small but fairly serious problem in our society. With the prevalence of mobile phones in our community more and more children are now tragically dying from drowning which we feel is a very preventable and easily saveable problem. Link to review: https://www.channelnewsasia.com/singapore/coroner-important-watch-children-pools-5-year-old-girl-drowns-alone-mother-toilet-2251856 and https://www.phillyvoice.com/child-drowning-inattentive-parents-cellphones-lifeguard/ . so to solve this I created SwimTrack. At its core, it functions by sending notifications every x number of seconds so that the parent isn't distracted. Let's say are distracted by an entertaining Reddit article and are not paying full attention to their child. To combat this SwimTrack utilises notifications and live activities(live activities are a bit borked rn so a bit goofy) to remind the parent to LOOK AT YOUR CHILD!

Queue is an iOS app developed using Swift. It enables users to join a virtual queue for various destinations, eliminating the need to wait in a physical line. I was inspired after a recent trip to Italy where my family and I had to wait 4 hours in a line to gain entry in a museum. With this app users are able to save time and enjoy their day more freely. As they approach the front of the queue, users receive an alert, ensuring they don't miss their turn. At the end of the queue, they can simply leave the queue along with a review and comment which is shared.

A small little kitchen helper. I started cooking (albeit infrequently) recently and realized I can't remember every recipe in my head (like my mom somehow does) and realized I didn't quite like solutions like mealie either. So, I decided to build my own instead. The app includes recipe management (including importing from a URL), ingredient autofill, and unit conversions, with plans to add more features like importing from a picture, timers, and grocery/pantry management soon.

It allows me to study my school content more easily, and create questions that my friends can see. This makes it easier to share "study-able" notes. I plan to add features to compete with your friends with statistics when studying. Right now, it is just a question and answer app :).

I find myself having a bunch of ideas that i simply don't have the time to write down and formalize. I've created Pensieve, inspired by Harry Potter, to collect and review memories. You use your voice to deposit memories in, and through some ai transcription and generation you get a neat reminder that gets stored in the app. These reminders can be completed and shared within the app as well.
